The Artown Match
Dear Friend of the Arts;
Every July, something extraordinary happens in Reno.
For thirty-one straight days, our city becomes a living canvas, music in every corner, dance under the stars, world-class artists across every genre, circus performers delighting wide-eyed children, voices and traditions from around the world, and thousands of families gathered on blankets to experience the arts in the Truckee Meadows. Over 250,000 people experienced Artown events last year, with hundreds of those events being completely free to the public.
It’s a tradition unlike anything else in the United States. In July, people in northern Nevada stay home because Artown gives us something to stay home for.
We're thrilled to share that Artown has received a $135,000 pledge for now and the future of Artown — but it’s contingent on a community match.
