This year, Artown was fortunate to receive several awards.  Artown received the 2023 Western Arts Alliance Leadership Award, The Nevada Interfaith Association 2023 Vision Award, Reno News and Review’s award for Best Event in downtown Reno, RGJ’s Best of Reno’s award for Best Event and Mayor Schieve declared July 2023, Artown Month.  The Artown Board of Directors received a 100% Giving Board Award from the Community Foundation.   Artown’s Executive Director was honored by the Nevada Women’s Fund as a 2023 Woman of Achievement. In the recent past, Artown received the President's award from the Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada (EDAWN). The non-profit arts organization has been a past and current recipient of the National Endowment for the Arts grant awards, while bringing the arts to life in Reno. Artown has been inspiring community since 1996, and brings with it, a celebration of distinguished artists from around the world, while elevating regional home-grown artists. Artown creates a culturally diverse artistic environment that promotes and embodies inclusion and access to the arts.
