Gourd Bowl with Pine Needle Rim
Guest instructor Susan Lester will spend the first few minutes of class lecturing about what goes into the preparation of a gourd to make it ready for the many methods of art you can apply to this versatile vessel. The gourds we will be using in class are going to be cleaned and ready for you to dye and apply a pine needle rim to. Students will use gourd ink dyes and pigment powders for coloring their gourd bowls. Dyed and prepared pine needless for the rims will add the finishing touch.
