Upcycled Terrarium

Join Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful (KTMB) for a free family activity in the Sensory Garden at Idlewild Park. Upcycle a plastic bottle into a terrarium by constructing a self-sustaining mini ecosystem using natural materials gathered from the garden. Then bring home your little living biosphere. Participants may choose to play a field game led by KTMB that demonstrates why plants need nutrients, water, sunlight, and air to survive and thrive. Children should be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
