Enthralling audiences locally, nationally and internationally, Tintabulations Handbell Ensemble has been making music since the mid-nineties. Beginning as an ambitious group of middle school students under the love and direction of Barb Walsh, this highly talented, diverse group of musicians represents a wide range of ages, backgrounds and experiences that come together from as far away as Bishop and Chester, CA. Unlike an orchestra or choir in which each musician is a member of a section responsible for one line of musical texture, each musician in a handbell ensemble is individually responsible for playing their specifically assigned bells/notes creating a mesmerizing tapestry of sound and visual textures. With a ringing style that's 'big' and beautiful, ‘Tintab' has found themselves at the forefront internationally of 'outside the box' ringing and the ringers enthusiastically share their passion and high level of skill with eager and appreciative audiences, With a flash of polished bronze, their mastery of handbell performance brings this audible and visual art form to life.
