Born To Dance

Dance is a universal language, and our dancers speak volumes! Note-Able Music Therapy Services provides music therapy and adaptive music and dance programs to people of all ages and abilities. At Born to Dance, you will see people of all ages and abilities taking the stage to show you their passion for dance. Whether expressing delight, pain, love or loss, dance can give voice to feelings that can be hard to express with words. Dancing together brings people together. We hope that you will join us for an hour of dance and community. Because living in a community that truly supports diversity, equity and inclusion makes it a better place for us all. While the dancers in Note-Able Music Therapy Services' annual dance concert, Born to Dance, were indeed born to dance, NMTS believes that all humans are in fact, born to dance. As any parent can tell you, before a child can speak, walk or even feed themselves, they spontaneously move rhythmically in response to music. The physical joy a child can express when a favorite song is played cannot be denied. So why is it that as adults we hold back? This performance highlights the diversity in our community and the universal expression of dance to bring joy and community to anyone who dares to take the stage.
