And in case you are asking, “Who are The Birches?” The Birches are a Reno-based rock, blues and folk group featuring a wide-ranging playlist of your favorite songs from the 70's, 80's, and 90's, with strong vocal harmonies. The current group has been playing together for more than eleven years, parlaying their success on the HOA summer picnic circuit to fundraisers, birthday parties, weddings, community events, the June Lake Beer Fest, Raise the River, and the occasional paid gig. Their current lineup includes Chuck Millar, on bass, keys, and vocals, John Springgate, lead and rhythm guitar and vocals, and Derek Thomas, the hardest working drummer in South Reno. Las Vegas-based Bob Cerceo fills in the sound with rhythm and the occasional tasty lick.
