Step into the spotlight and bring stories to life in this dynamic scene and monologue study class held at Reno High School Theatre, 395 Booth St, Reno, NV 89509, from July 28 – August 1, 2025, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM. Designed for students ages 10-18, from beginners to advanced performers, this immersive program builds confidence, creativity, and stage presence through engaging theatre exercises, hands-on scene work, and professional coaching. Participants will explore the ins and outs of professional theatre, developing skills in character development, stage movement, vocal technique, and emotional depth. Through monologues & scene work, students will strengthen public-speaking skills, enhance collaboration, and refine their ability to connect with an audience—valuable tools for success on and off the stage. Theatre fosters adaptability, problem-solving, and self-assurance while encouraging students to support and inspire one another. The week-long experience culminates in a community showcase on Friday, August 1, welcoming all to enjoy an afternoon of live performances. Audience members will experience a captivating display of scenes and monologues, highlighting the students' growth, creativity, and dedication. Doors open at 1:00 PM, and the show begins at 1:30 PM.
