Good Books Love Beautiful Quilts
Make sure to stop by the downtown Reno library to check out the more than 100 amazing quilts on display in July. All items were made by members of Truckee Meadows Quilters (TMQ). Quilts include those created for traditional use, as art, and those created for donation to more than 20 local entities. TMQ was founded in 1978. Our purpose is to encourage and promote quilting and fabric arts in the Northern Nevada community. We currently have more than 150 members (from beginners to skilled experts) who create quilts and soft goods in a variety of styles. Members made and donated more than 500 quilts in 2024 for those in need. Member meetings and education meetings are held monthly, as well as an annual quilt show.
