Pipes on the River Concert Series with Pianist/Organist Bryan Chuan
Trinity Episcopal celebrates the 25th anniversary of its Pipes on the River Series with a concert featuring music director Bryan Chuan, who will perform a recital featuring exhilarating piano and organ works by Emmanuel Chabrier, Maurice Ravel, Louis Vierne, and Maurice Durufle. Our Casavant Organ is the largest and finest in Northern Nevada and specifically designed to play romantic and contemporary French organ works, which will be extensively featured during two of our Artown concerts. Bryan Chuan is the music director at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral and has served on the keyboard faculty at Arkansas State University, the University of Nevada Reno, and Sacred Heart University. Bryan has an active career as a performer, collaborative artist and pedagogue. He has been a featured soloist with the Denver Pops Orchestra, Reno Chamber Orchestra, UNR Symphony Orchestra, Harvard Pops Orchestra and Northeastern Wind Symphony. His recent solo recitals have included the works of Enrique Granados and a survey of Basque organ music. He is part of a recent release by BIS records featuring the world premiere of vocal and chamber works by Kaikhosru Sorabji. He holds degrees in Piano Performance and Music from Harvard University, the University of Nevada Reno, and a doctorate degree from the University of Colorado Boulder.
