Fused Glass Heart Suncatcher

Coppper Cat Studio's in-house glass fusion artist Donna Smit teaches this introductory glass fusion class. The hearts measure approximately 7 x 9. Each student will receive a lecture on the science of glass and begin by using nippers to lay out a layer of clear glass on kiln paper. For the second layer, students will nip and compose pieces of colored glass to create a design of their choosing. Students can create an abstract design, landscape and more! Finally, students will use copper wire to create hooks for a beaded hanger to be added after firing. Pieces will need to be left at the studio to be fired in a kiln. All supplies are included. This is a perfect workshop for beginners and fun for experienced students. Class size is limited to 8 students and preregistration is required. This workshop is appropriate for ages 14+
