Each Thursday during Artown (as during the rest of the year), Ceol Irish Pub hosts members of the Northern Nevada Bluegrass Association (info@nnba.org or https://www.facebook.com/BluegrassinNorthernNevada). This bluegrass session is a gathering of talented players of traditional Americana songs and instruments: Stand-up bass, banjo, mandolin, guitar and fiddle are usually in attendance, played around one microphone. These gatherings are a must-see for anyone in the area interested in bluegrass/folk/Americana and are a good way to make contact with the like-minded and those from the Northern Nevada Bluegrass Association.
