At 7:30 National Community Conservation Corp Members will talk about the work accomplished as members of a Americorp team working the Pacific West Region over the past 9 month, including Washoe County. At 8:00 pm Overland Express will take the stage- RICK SPARKS Has been in the music business for over 50 years. In addition to his smooth vocals, he is equally at home playing banjo, guitar, mandolin, dobro and pedal steel guitar. As leader of Overland Express, he's the roll master and presents his audience with spunky banjo tunes and soul-touching Americana ballads. KAREN ROEMMICH Groove anchor for the band, upon inheriting musical inspirations from her sister, taught herself to play the stand-up bass 20 years ago. Her excellent ear for music helps to create the band's smooth, close harmony blend as well as providing a solid rhythm for the band. KATHI SCOTT, a seasoned Bluegrass musician, she has played with numerous bands over the years and is now the rhythm engine with Overland Express. Known for her dependable guitar playing, and delightful lead singing, Kathi keeps the rhythm, that drives the band's sound. DAN BAKER is no stranger to the Bluegrass stage, having played in many festivals in California and Nevada. A dynamic musician, he delivers hot, energetic leads on mandolin and guitar, captivating audiences with his skill and precision.
