House of RA Presents: Drum Devotion, A Monthly Drum Circle

Have fun while learning music with easy to learn games and activities using one of the oldest and most universally played instruments, the drum! Facilitated by licensed music therapist Eric “Goose” Gieseke, participants will be led through games and activities designed for all skill levels to play together in a way that is enjoyable for everyone. Bring your own drums and percussion or play with ours as we experience new and fun ways to connect with our community.
This event is for people of all ages and abilities. Community members will join together at House of Ra where they can play their own instruments or choose from ones offered at the event. Eric “Goose” Gieseke will lead participants through easy to learn games and activities where group members will be encouraged to play their drums together and individually if desired. In this circle we will explore basic rhythmic patterns, improvisation, and musical structure. The circle will conclude with an open “jam” where everyone will be encouraged to play together and use the skills they learned during the previous activities.
