Garden is Art! Create Your Own Container Garden

Moana Nursery celebrates the vibrant intersection of garden and art with an immersive outdoor exhibition and live container planting experience. Visitors can explore floral-inspired artwork and murals by local artist Emily Reid and a monumental sculptural tree by Jeff Schomberg, known for his bold creations in steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.

Schomberg will unveil a monumental 15 x 8 ft. sculptural tree, transformed into a living artwork with lush plants, containers, and lighting that brings the piece to life after sunset. This striking installation blends horticulture and sculpture, inviting visitors to experience the garden as a living gallery.

In addition, Moana Nursery will host live container planting demonstrations beneath the sculptural tree. Every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., visitors can watch professional gardeners design and plant beautiful container gardens. Our talented team members will also be available to help guests create their own containers and leave with a personal piece of “Garden is Art.”

Containers and plants will be available for purchase, while the hands-on experience, design ideas, and expert guidance are complimentary. Moana Nursery will also offer specials to fit every budget—so come get inspired, get creative, and don't be afraid to get your hands dirty.
